Stars

i am not a star
maybe,
a flickering bulb
maybe,
i am being hard on myself
or maybe,
this is self deprecating humour
like perfume,
that hangs on a rumour
maybe,
i am a star to you
hanging there like a trapeze act
just waiting to swing
life is an event
a bottle at least you must bring
let’s,
let’s have a fling
where we meet up and pair
never part and drive each other spare
be crazy together
be stars
be stars for each others
