They Sold off Care
they sold off, ‘care’
and made millionaires
but,
they do not care
and, ‘hope’, it has gone spare
losing its hair
without a cake to share
well,
we can read the headlines
set ourselves the moral deadlines
but,
for sometime
it has not been fine
they introduced market forces
it is stable doors and bolted horses
they sold off, ‘care’
and they sold off all the homes
it spread second rate care
isolated and feeling alone
they sold off, ‘care’
corrupt owners with morals so bare
is there anything truly there?
