Melting Away the Lamposts – Written July 2002 (Aged 27)

Melting Away the Lamposts

it shines on
they were a coxcomb
then they were gone
and to discourse –
is to discuss
to read of our past
that is a must
it shines on
i would walk for hours
melting away the lamposts
all that street light
and i would bathe in the night
it shines on
a chime of beef
a draught,
a bite to eat at an ordinary
is shines on
and we will be fine
