Forever
i always thought –
well,
you would be here forever
as if our time –
was open ended contract
when in fact –
it had a due date
signed and sealed
i suspect by fate
i am always thought –
perhaps selfishly
the pattern you weave
would almost remain
as i watch your face
but there is a contract
soon you will leave this place
