The Leash
i wonder about those on leash
one that had become strained
i remember all those times again
and in the lush meadows
that my dreams graze upon
i wrap myself up in duvets
just to keep warm
did they plot and plan this
when i was born
and when the cafes no longer open
will we stifle a yawn
will we blend to the bends
that cause us to become torn
i wonder about you
the frequency of your self esteem
it feels like a blacksmith’s treasure
for upon his conscience it will gleam
but as a child they said –
you must expect solitary feelings
and you will occasionally bleed
as you start to dream
let’s retire t the pleasures in our heads
