Sales Pitch – Written Sunday 5th December 2010 (Aged 35)

Sales Pitch

it was a good sales pitch
but the product was poor
it did have its plus points
which included an inviting door
one,
which i almost walked through
and for a while
it did not work too hard
to manufacture a smile
as if my telephone,
had moved all the way from the dial

it was a good sales pitch
with a slick approach
and a good presentation
it had a presenter –
that almost stole my breath
but of depth –
it was sadly so bereft
everything was in place
for a thing,
so covered and bounded in magic
that door,
that once i almost went through
quickly became firmly shut
it was a good sales pitch
just a shame about the product
