Are You Lonely?
are you lonely?
i receive your messages
and i wonder about you
tell me,
when you close that door –
is it all so different?
would you ever –
stop throwing yourself into work
would you ever take a chance
and risk getting hurt?
perhaps you just want a, ‘mate’
there is nothing wrong –
with that notion
but are you not tired of rowing –
your one woman boat on the ocean?
do you think –
i have everything to offer
and sometimes, i search so deep
only to realise, i have nothing in my coffers
and no one in your castle’s keep
