A Ticket to Fetch – Written Tuesday 1st February 2011 (Aged 35)

A Ticket to Fetch

do you love me –
like you told me
i am your secret
i am your escape
but it’s not a wall
or a fence,
at least one,
that you’re prepared –
to leap or climb over
do you love me –
like you told me
you fold me up
and put me away
for the times,
when you go to sea
or when it’s a rainy day
do you love me –
like you told me
i would have left
the moment that i –
felt it in my chest
there’s a train to catch –
or a ticket to fetch
