Lonely Heart
you beautiful thing
why do you hang there
why do you not decide
to hang here instead
how i view you
constantly moving in my head
then moving in for the kill
i creep into bed
the fantasies of the lonely
can be frightening and weird
just like all the tears
a pen puts a ring around an advert
to avert another night alone
this advert is pre-recorded
you can hear it on the phone
it is from some beautiful thing
wasting away in a flat
high rise and lonely tonight
why do you not hang here
you creep through me
and pass me on the landing
as you move towards the bed
the frightened and the lonely
wait to occupy your head
