Hunting Grounds of Insecurity

emotionally there are limitations
and i see that –
you are opposed to religious institutions
i understand that emotionally –
you remain inexperienced
and confidence –
slips away in torrents
but are you not –
just too old to dance like a child –
and sing in ways that leave others wild?
are you angry but scared?
and does anxiety –
take away everything you wear?
your cupboards are unlocked –
but nutritionally bare
what to do –
when life becomes all belt and braces
and we are exposed to such challenging faces
what to do when our shoes our one size too big
and we struggle to apply symmetry to our laces
