What Lies Beneath The Skin
your sometimes cold nature
that comes,
from reinventing yourself
taking off the past
from somebody else
the constant change
the desire to fit in
you cannot change the inside
what lies beneath the skin
it will always come through
it will always find a way out
personality may not be obvious
but it knows how to scream and shout
this cycle of change
destroying all that went before
as if life is a series of rooms
and as you move on,
you must lock every door
predicting the past
leaving not a trace
making sure there is nothing
well you can mould that smile on your face
but you cannot change the inside
what lies beneath the skin
