Throwing Stones – Written Wednesday 11th February 2004 (Aged 28)

Throwing Stones

the balance is not quite right
all the assumptions
and not a chink of light
the truth is rather brutal
and something quite cold
i have never really needed people
i am a prime candidate,
for something lonely and old
i never seek answers –
from those around
perhaps there are answers within
because if people have the answers
there would be no end
and there should be no shame
in your own company
there is nothing too bad
about being on your own
the majority may well treasure you
but then, the majority just throw stones
