Feed a Child – Written Thursday 12th October 2005 (Aged 30)

Feed a Child

feed a child rejection
and they will live in fear all their life
treat a child as second best
and they will follow that pattern all their life
even though,
they may well deny it
because they have been forced to accept
bird like crumbs of second hand respect
tell a child they are just a shadow
and they will believe it for the rest of their life
unless they have the iron will to fight it
for these things,
there can be no family excuse
it all adds up to a prolonged form of abuse
