Part of Me – Written Friday 2nd November 2007 (Aged 32)

Part of Me

i wanted to say more
but i fumbled over words
words which did not tumble out
like lyrical gems
it’s that face and that smile
i have taken more than a shine
all i want to do is hold you
and hold on,
somehow never letting go
knowing that feelings can never grow
part of me leaves with you
and part of me just resides
just as part of me just dies
i took a deep breath
and i let the silence brew
i wanted to say more
but i fumbled over words
words which did not tumble out
and words,
which did not express how i truly feel
