My Feelings Feel Like a Funfair

my feelings feel like a funfair
my life,
well that is a circus
you know, the sort that comes to town
and my hope is the typical,
‘have a go hero’
the type,
who saved the boy who could have drowned
my insecurities –
they feel like a wall of death ride
my life,
it feels like forest fires that burn deep inside
