Clifftop – Written Wednesday 5th November 2008 (Aged 33)

Clifftop

clifftop
drop much more than expected
teetered on the edge
wondered if i could be saved
as i clung onto stony ledge
and looked out to the sea beyond
i looked down as the waves crashed
against jagged rock
i wondered if self destruction –
was always this close –
before it stops and i take deep breaths
clifftop
