Familiar Song – Written November 2015 (Aged 40)

Familiar Song

it carries on
this familiar song
don’t criticise structures
or pillars
let us bask
in our roman villa’s
let us stick
to the the establishment rules
as long as we can
they treat us like fools
we stumble down lanes
as they throw bowling balls
and that is how it carries on
this familiar song

James Garratt – November 2015
