What More Can I Say
i am not sure –
that there is much left for me to say
when i was much younger
i was full of words and things to say
but as the years race by –
the words just seem to fall away
i am not sure –
that there is much left for me to say
if i think about it,
it’s as if i stood outside preaching
then the storms came
and the words were not so far reaching
so i ducked down,
stepped back inside
with convention as my roof
and history etched onto my eyes
party balloons, but devoid of ties
i am not sure,
that there is much left for me to say
building bridges but in soft clay
you had it all, what more can i say?
