Hearing His Name
hearing his name in conversation
hearing that terminology
me and him, us, together…
i sit in a bright sunny world
but it chills, like the coldest weather
the idea of appearance
of making a point in conversation
as if i need reminding
of this, the current situation
i don’t want to hear his name
i don’t think it is relevant
it’s good that you have each other
that couple thing,
the one i could never give
playing happy families
and him knowing your heart isn’t there
but for some people,
i realise that they will take what they can
even if it is not love and only care
hearing his name in conversation
i feel now that i know him so well
more dull routine to accompany mine
it does not matter who you are then?
it seems to only matter,
that you appear to be giving
and giving exactly what is needed
