Fill Up My Filing Cabinets – Written Wednesday 19th August 2022 (Aged 47)

Fill Up My Filing Cabinets

fill up my filing cabinets with hopes and dreams
thoughts,
and things that can never be bought
sugar coat every bowel of cereal
i know that loneliness is only peripheral
and how we function psychologically is always mystical

fill up my filing cabinets and make sure they close
flick through the files before everybody else knows
thoughts,
can hang down like those upturned lights
and i know that loneliness never feels that bright
being yourself in a world of crazy bins
that is all about making sure we all hold tight
