Unspoken Words

part of me thinks
why can’t things just stay the same
why is change,
all change,
so seismic
or at least, that is how it feels
we have,
start out lines,
never crossing them,
but wonder what happens if we did
affection,
it has rarely hid
and it is you i will really miss
something in me is sad
and something in me wonders
if things could just stay as they are
but that is more about feelings
and feeling like,
i have to leave you behind
connections not lasting forever
and wondering why they cannot
i make the decisions for other reasons
and part of me is sad
there are unspoken words
but i keep them safely away in a special bag
