Blood On The Conscience
blood on their mind,
blood on our conscience
blood on their hands
we can march all we like
but we never marched when the gas dropped
we carried on and turned away
we did not stop,
i know as you know,
this war will not solve any problems
of course wars never do
of course that is not a nugget of wisdom
just something that is plane and true
but if the truth is truthfully told,
we have all turned away so many times
yet now, the horrors knock on our door
of course we throw up our arms
and set off to march against this war
but there is blood on our hands
and blood on our minds
these, these are such uncertain times
in which security is so hard to find
