Billions For War – Written Monday 31st March 2003 (Aged 28)

Billions For War

billions for war
not a thing for the needy
the sad, or even the poor
excuse my naivety
as i try to separate,
fantasy from fact
but when the schools and hospitals fall apart
it seems as simple as that
the treasure chest for war
seems to be always full
why do the bellies ache
and heartstrings pull
billions for war
still the same old hopeless situation
but, how much longer for?
