Daisies On The Barned Wire
thank you for reminding me
that if i had been more like you
i would be away,
from all that is insular
and into a paradise view
it’s good to know,
that you have all the answers
give yourself an a+ for trying
but your life has dealt some vicious blows
you will need an a+ for lying
how sweet and innocent it must be
when you see,
daisies on the barbed wire
paradise on the battlefield
harvest in the poorest country
even when there is none to yield
thank you for stumbling across the answer
and telling me how i should have been
i live with my mistakes every day
and the shards of shattered dreams
so i wills scramble forwards
when those words ringing in my head
and i will shake hands with those –
on the plane of the living dead
