No Matter How We Are Feeling
to avoid disappointment
try not to expect too much
do not let go at the first touch
read the packet,
check out the ingredients
and look for the additives
to avoid heartache
to make sure it will not break
and to make sure it will not fail
swap it for a holiday
sell it at a book sale
build a galleon and then set sail
to avoid a sea that is just too much
do not let the waves overwhelm you
even if they feel like a special touch
but we must learn
to wait at the harbour
and let the ships sail in
no matter how we are feeling
