we all want freedom
would you mention my name
you are looking for mellow meadows –
outside the house of the insane
you have got stalking shadows
that you just can’t sing away
we all want freedom
an we would like it today
please don’t go away
that is all i ask
it’s a bond and a duty
i will not abandon the task
we all want freedom
from the strains of our lives
from the world that surrounds us
would you mention my name
at the end of the corridor
i would mention yours
if i opened freedom gates
and freedoms doors
