All Of You – Written Saturday 15th August 2009 (Aged 34)

All Of You

all of you,
you claim to have no control
you shrug your shoulders
and say,
‘not my problem’
just turn your blind eye
all of you,
have children
do you tell them the same?
do you not bother with right and wrong?
just say, ‘you are not blame’,
by doing nothing
you are part of the problem
by turning a blind eye
we are no worse,
than the perpetrator
it is like society has given up
and gone for a little sleep
not my problem, i am not responsible
what can i do?
this kind of learned helplessness
leaves me feeling very cold
the way people avoid all responsibility
and simply fold,
what to do…
it is all of you
