Mountains And Rivers

the sadness stems,
not from the fact we are not together
but,
because i remain unconvinced –
that they will let themselves love someone
make that leap of faith
too scared,
because the heart may just break
i know that inside she loves me
but i also know that it will never be enough
so some day i will have to let it go
and you know,
i dread that,
i fear that moment that it swims far away
but,
what can i do
this feeling does not deliver
this feeling just creates mountains and rivers
and i am left to stand here and shiver
i will never win
and all the happiness will not be delivered
