you looked at me –
and i could see the disappointment
not good looking enough for you?
not the knight in shining armour –
that you feel you truly deserve?
let’s leave this place and go back home
and i can read the disappointment –
in every text you sent me
i am sorry for you,
sorry that i was not heaven sent
but let’s be honest,
you nothing special yourself
but, hey, what does it matter
you spend a lifetime watching illusions shatter
