Sighting Land – Written May 2010 (Aged 35)

Sighting Land

i have shed all my tears
and screwed up my clouds
i have romanced my fears
and screamed it out loud
but i am fine as i am,
in these last few years
i have let the ship take hold
and sail out into open sea
and it is true,
some are missed
yet some, i set free
i am fine as i am
i can find comfort in me
like sailor tom,
and the fantastic brass band
i have skipped and fled
watched the snow melt
and then held onto my sledge
but i am fine as i am
always trust me, it is fine
she sighted land,
and with her i stepped off the ship
she steadied me and took my hands
