Myth And Rumour – Written Monday 17th May 2010 (Aged 35)

Myth And Rumour

felt cold last night
stalk like words i had frozen
but i blossomed
if only as a number
i reached out to meet those coming –
the other way
buoyed by a love for a better day
caught cameras –
and pictures of my soul
felt cold last night
glitter like gold
but i blossomed
but only as a trident
a folk hero of some forgotten past
myth and rumour are stubborn
and they do not last
felt cold last night
sink that imprecise charm

James Garratt – Monday 17th May 2010
