Xylophone
they can bang and crash the drums
play the child’s xylophone
they can march,
with feet hard on the ground
they can twist lids on bottles half shaken
when in two,
they can shout till their face turns blue
and they can play the child’s xylophone
who knows what tune it plays
they can bang and crash the drums
and see what they say
but we live on and fight another day
