Snake Hipped Boots – Written Monday 17th May 2010 (Aged 35)

Snake Hipped Boots

those snake hipped boots
walked across,
my ancient tramway
kicking up dust,
from the grooves
greased by cart wheels
that spun long before
those market town privateers
took a chance,
on my economic well being
they cut out the gravel
and deployed my feelings
we shake the trees
without the leaves
knowing how much we need
those acid tongue vipers
crawled inside,
the metro system of my mind
reaching destinations
i never thought they’d find
