earn more money
discount those younger decisions
after all,
what did you do in your teens?
i am aiming for the top
why don’t you understand what i mean
how dare you leave the beaten path
well, beat my dreams
and rather then just laugh
bend my muddled brain
when you are riddled with the past
you can rush headlong into madness
so i will stand by fast flowing rivers
and reflect on sadness
all those things –
that you and they have said about me
well, they are me
i would like to earn more money
but i just do not fit in
i would like to regret younger decisions
but i don’t know where to begin
and i will aim for the top
as soon as this thinking –
well as soon as thinking stops
