I Hear Supermarket Trolleys Crash and Clatter – Written Tuesday 9th April 2023 (Aged 48)

I Hear Supermarket Trolleys Crash and Clatter

i take my mental health –
and my wellbeing seriously
i am often scared –
that everything –
will splinter and shatter
so i take it seriously
even if it can be a laughing matter
i hear supermarket trolleys crash
and then i hear them clatter
i fall through voids
and quickly glance at the mad hatter
i take my mental health –
and well being seriously
when i am awake –
i am aware that everything is fragile
and that it could fall apart
but even i know –
sometimes all this makes me laugh
i hear supermarket trolleys crash
and then i hear them clatter
i rifle through the contents of my mind
as the years pass by and appear to shatter

    1. This is really about ‘containing he madness’, it’s managing the ‘buzz’ that I think we all have in our heads. It’s a bit self indulgent but I think the fragility of our being and coping with life is very real.
