Approximate Size of Cog
have you ever thought about who you really are
or the approximate size of the cog you represent
the importance of the view you vent
the opinions you struggle to circumnavigate
why are you so brittle,
and why do you fall so easy to ideas of hate
have you ever thought about it all
why do you wear the soiled clothes of arrogance
why, when the world looks on with indifference
why do you always fail to grasp the insignificance
have you ever thought that maybe there is more
more the blind truth you seek to administer
and the nightmares that must feel so sinister
i hear the sermon you preach,
but you are no minister
have you ever thought about who you really are
because, we are in fact all relatively small
even on the occasions when we manage to walk tall
even in the times when we manage not to be a fool
be humble and find humility,
listen to other people
let them colour and paint your black and white reality

Thank you. I don’t recognise myself in those writing. It’s feels a bit other person like. I couldn’t even write like this nice. I looked the the ‘preach your sermon’ part. Sharing all this is awkward for me and I am very self conscious – who wants to revisit a time when you were an idiot? :). But I am glad you like them 🙂
