Glories and Flaws – Written May 2007 (Aged 32)

Glories and Flaws

obsessive, too damn right
i fought tooth and nail not to be labelled
and to ensure i did not fall under negative light
obsessive, you should believe it
my individuality is a basic human right
my ability to voice my very being
is the one candle we all hope to light
obsessive, yes, with every beat of my heart
i will not be put down,
by the ragged and torn
i will not be torn apart,
by those who are impaled on thorns
obsessive, you can watch me till i almost self destruct
i have fought for all my glories and all of my flaws
and this person i construct,
will always be so much more
obsessive, too damn right
when labelled a failure, when labelled unloved
i will fight every round,
bare knuckled or with prize winning gloves
and then i will prove who i am
but i will never consider proving it to the blind and nasty
and those, who did in and refuse to understand
