Repairs – Written Tuesday 6th May 2007 (Aged 32)

Repairs

i am working through –
the damage and the hurt –
heaped upon me,
treating it like a journey
just like a train
occasional stops,
to offload the pain
i am making repairs to the track
and i am making my way back
as i l move out of the tunnel
i am working through –
the damage and the hurt
learning to trust the signals again
hoping the engine still works
if this involves moments of madness
and moments of obsession
i will still find my way
and carry on with this direction
it will be one day at a time
carefully choosing my steps
