Peace of Mind – Written June 2007 (Aged 32)

Peace of Mind

i have seen the peace of mind
that they claim to have
i have seen the pain and the fear
that lurks just beneath the surface
i have seen the perfect vision
that they claim to have
it walks knock-kneed and blind
the failing outer shell
leads to such disaster underneath
i have seen the so called clever
that they claim to have
it does not look like clever to me
