I Checked Out The World Today

your unrelenting contradictions
your constant attacks
the resentment you carry
it must surely break your back
i get it, you do not like me
and i will never be your friend
well i check out the world today
and it has not come to an end
who forgot to love you?
as a tantrum driven child
what happened to responsibility
driven to distraction or driven wild?
we have been patient
but i have said thing i should have not
when anger rules your head
but you never listen,
but there are things i do regret
