Swimming in Your Smile
i did not mean to find you attractive
and i did not mean –
to swim in your smile
i did not mean to dance within –
the brilliant light of your eyes
but there you are
pouring sunshine into my cloudy sky
i did not mean to feel this way
and i did not expect all these emotions
and i know this is wrong
i know that i have to carry on
but you have found a way in
i did not mean –
to swim in your smile
and i did not mean to feel this way
or find a home for this missing child
but there you are
and these feelings have to die
i have to keep it all inside
why is it in life that these things happen
living with secrets and lies
i did not mean to find you attractive
and i did not mean to swim in your smile
