Reading Between The Lines – Written Wednesday 17th May 2006 (Aged 31)

Reading Between The Lines

you can write everything down
and you can –
present it as any image you want
and,
if you say it often enough –
and you may just convince yourself
i know that much it true
the problem is,
what we write is that it always reveals –
who we are
none of us can write –
expect to present what think is a truth
and then for none one to notice –
what lies between the lines
it’s like trying to cross a battlefield
but ignoring the landmines
you will eventually get found out
of course,
you can write everything down
and hope,
that the version of you that you present
is somehow believable
that is,
if you are desperate for the approval of others
or if you just like the attention
the kind you have not received from another
so, go ahead, write everything down
trust me, it provides no tangible cover
