Let Me Be Honest With You
i am happy to admit that there are times –
where i simply do not cope
and there are times where i struggle
but that is life,
isn’t it?
if people do not know you
then what value is there to their judgement
what worth are their comments
what weight does their opinions carry
i am happy to admit my weaknesses
because in a way it is that admittance –
that will make us stronger
and if people do not know you
then why should you even care
it is only pride and dignity and feelings –
that you’re trying too spare
i am not perfect but i have had a full life
it has been varied and full of experience
so what people say who do not know me
does not make a difference to my life
