Maybe

maybe i could try and change for you
just maybe…
maybe i could be the regular man
the one that you really need
that man,
the one without the stabilisers
maybe i could conquer the world –
without tranquilisers
maybe then,
i would be everything you ever wanted
and everything you have wanted to see
maybe, just maybe…
maybe then we would set the world fee
but what you want and need me to be –
is perhaps something that i never can
but believe me i try,
i try to be that better man
