There Is Always Tomorrow
It seems that we were both born,
but was it for each other?
I am just the poor salesman
trying to pitch the benefits of us being together.
Please tell me
that you will still be here tomorrow.
Why can’t we just put down our hang ups?
I think we should give it a try.
For my feelings,
I will take a little blame.
I wish I could live happily ever after,
but I know I can’t make you feel the same.
You smiled and said,
there is always tomorrow.
But what if tomorrow never comes?
You said you never know what’s around the corner.
I can’t say that I ever know what to do.
All I know is that it won’t be what I want,
not without you.
