how do i sum up my emotions
when the sum is too big
it is certainly not one i can tally
i can only lap up the sun
as these emotions start to hurry

and indecision and insecurity,
will struggle –
to ever sign a peace treaty
but people –
will alway provide the rich beauty –

i have gone from euphoric state
to a mental state
from early starter
to something quite late

pilots licence,
good looking,
probably a six pack
you know,
everybody’s friend

i have made people laugh
made them cry,
affected them,
deep down inside

there is a darkness within me
a darkness which is in all of us
a darkness that you are scared of,
because one day you fear becoming it

the way they interrupt
the way,
they pay no attention
and the way they can be so abrupt

you would understand
pick up the pieces
guide the spiritual hand
if you were here

lovers cannot do it
and no drug can compensate
you hope that you are sane
but you know that you are a state

from a child on father’s knee
to a grown woman –
trying to set her emotions free
and with a flurry of confusion
that pulls her across a stormy sea
