as if your soul
the very fabric
has been torn apart

it is someone in a mask
but…
have you seen the world stage
a procession of people –
talking out of their arse

they tell us,
that the world is a safer place
how can i believe that
i do not see that on the blood stained faces

finally starting to find my home
i remember,
when i was just nineteen
and when you were all alone

you want a positive me
a version,
that just walks across the sea
who did you know then?
who did you see?

these last few months
have been breathtaking
exasperating
and heartbreaking

it is scandalous
that the mentally locked away
and the rest of us,
feel like we are in an asylum anyway

i know you will say,
once again,
that my attitude is too much
and it is never calmed by the pen

not in a large number
say, similar to a herd
just a few to keep me warm
