astral friend,

faces that pass me
friends alive in my memory
did i know you in past life?

some do come and go
but some meet me,
and they decide to stay for a while

i try not to think about it
but it is all i seem to do
i struggle to make the pieces fit
the puzzle is you

i know i’ve failed another life test

depression is an obsession –
of the bored and lonely

i dreamt of you last night
and the dream was so comforting
which when i think about it,
is a true reflection of my waking world

it is time we got over it
it shouldn’t be a mountain to climb
or an obstacle that blocks time
