Privilege

when they say,
well,
freedom of speech
what they actually mean
is,
i demand my perceived privilege
and entitlement

it is always the same men
who use this phrase
and it only ever,
travels one way
i demand my privilege
is what they mean to say

I am entitled
has always been their way
the world constantly changes
the sun starts to set on their day

slowly,
their knees start to give way
when they say
it is,
freedom of speech
what they mean
is,
i demand my perceived privilege
and entitlement
