Textbooks and Manuals

what do they say
every day,
is a, ‘school day’
make a mistake
learn from it
but the next day is different
so, i make another mistake
learn from that one
but… the next day is different
and so it goes on
i smile though
swear quite a lot
make jokes
because that is always what we have
deadpan, always a fan
i keep going
the learning, ever flowing
it is,
the textbooks and manuals
which get washed away
and it is what they say,
every day feels like a, ‘school day’
